THIS JUST IN… (Kinda). Sorry Miley, but Austin Mahone has got some “Bangerz” of his own… specifically his new single “Banga! Banga!” which just got graffiti-filled video treatment. Lead Mahomie finds himself in the urban streets, at a skate park, where he obviously falls in love with a hottie (don’t they all). With these killa dance moves, swag outfits, and amazeballs voice/songs, I can see Mr. Mahone’s career skyrocketing by the second as he pushes this guy named Justin B. out of the way! You’re looking at the new good/bad boy. Let’s just hope he doesn’t pee in a bucket anytime soon. Watch the banga (banga) video above, and get ready for Christmas Break!!
There’s no nice way to say this. Britney Spears’ most personal album is chart poison. With sales significantly lower than expected, Britney Jean will debut at…
#5 on the Billboard Hot 200… 108,461 copies sold in the first week… Well, Britney sure needs to get to “Work (B**ch)” because her album BritneyJean is flopping like a fish. Now don’t get me wrong; I bought the album as soon as it came out last Tuesday. But she kept saying “this is my most personal album ever,” yet all we hear is below-standard pop/dance songs that anyone could sing on karaoke night. It’s like she tweets out “yall are gonna love my next song… straight from the heart,” and alllll we get is “Work.” Where’s the emotion, the tears, the lucky? This is not a personal album Britney, this is the well-foreseen product of Will.i.am. Probably the most personal songs are Brit’s “Chillin With You” and “Now That I Found You” (off her deluxe… which, can we discuss why there are a measly 10 tracks on the original and only 14 on the deluxe. let’s get 18 please!). He may be your friend Brit Brit, but he is not your ticket to success (have you heard #willpower, the one with your song “Scream & Shout” ??)… You may not be a girl anymore, but you’re not yet a woman yet- more like a robot. Brit, before you release an album, check out what everyone else is doing. Look at Gaga. Look at Perry. Look at Cyrus. Look at Avril Lavigne even, for heaven’s sake!! All did great this year, while you know better. Wanna be Godney? You better WORK for it!
Note: I still like the album because I love the dance music. However, that can’t stop it from getting above a 3/5 stars.
